About Michael Bird

Michael Bird is an Anglican Priest and Academic Dean and Director of Postgraduate Studies at Ridley College in Melbourne, Australia. He is the author of several books including Evangelical Theology, What Christians Ought to Believe, Romans (Story of God Bible Commentary series), An Anomalous Jew: Paul among Jews, Greeks, and Romans, A Bird’s Eye-View of Paul, The Gospel of the Lord: How the Early Church Wrote the Story of Jesus, lead author and editor of How God Became Jesus, and co-author with N.T. Wright of The New Testament in its World (to be released in November). Michael is married with four children. He enjoys jogging, cycling, and despising coffee.
